Spooky season is creeping closer, and Meg has created two hauntingly cool nail designs to get us Halloween-ready. One nail features a realistic eyeball using a clever spreading technique, while the other takes inspiration from the iconic Beetlejuice aesthetic. Both are fun, creative, and perfect for October nail art.

Design One: Eyeball Nail
Step 1. Base
Apply base coat and cure. Paint the nail with a clean background shade and cure again.
Step 2. Creating the eyeball

Apply blooming gel to the nail.

Add a dot of gel colour with a Dotting Tool.

Dip the tool into Gel Residue Remover Solution and press it gently into the dot of gel.

The gel spreads out to create a realistic eyeball effect. Cure to secure.
Step 3. Finishing touches
Add extra details to the eyeball with a Fine Detail Brush for depth. Cure.
Step 4. Seal
Apply either a glossy or matte top coat to finish the design. Cure.
Design Two: Beetlejuice-Inspired Nail
Step 1. Base
Apply base coat and cure.
Step 2. Building the design

Use a mix of dark and light gels along with blooming gel to create a Beetlejuice-inspired pattern.

Add stripes, swirls, or layered effects with a Fine Detail Brush for a bold, graphic look. Cure.
Step 3. Optional texture
Sprinkle Crystal Clear Acrylic Powder over sections of the design for a sugared effect, then cure.
Step 4. Seal and finish
Choose between glossy top coat for a polished Beetlejuice shine or matte top coat for a chalky, edgy finish. Cure for the final reveal.
